Mom is mad I want nothing to do with problem family members?

My older sister and her daughter have a trouble life and I’m tired of hearing about it. I want no part of their bull shit. My niece is on a bad path straight fs drinking smoking sleeping around etc. her attitude is horrendous. I can not stand her presence. My sister is extremely jealous of me and constantly starting fights and I’m over it I want estrangement. They bring nothing positive in my life. Why can’t my mom and dad understand why I’m not close to them? I have my life on track. I’m not perfect but I know right from wrong. I worked hard to be where I am today as a graduate student. I don’t want bad people ruining my life with their drama.

Your parents just wants the family together. I can understand where they are coming from but I also know how you feel. I've disowned my brother. He's an alcoholic and a user. I had enough of his b. s. You have to do what is best for you and your family.
