Is it bad that I’m good friends with my cousin’s ex-girlfriend? Should I stop talking to her or talk to her less?

I’m close friends with my cousin’s on-again/off-again girlfriend of 13 years. They broke up a few months ago because he cheated on her and since then she’s gotten closer to me. I didn’t think anything of it at first because we were just talking about sports every other day or so.

But now it’s escalated to the point where we’re talking every day, all throughout the day, especially late at night. She’s even added me to her close friends on Instagram and removed my cousin. In those stories, she’s trying on bikinis, twerking, etc.

I feel like being on her close friends is crossing the line, even though she’s no longer dating my cousin. He heard about one of the twerk videos from someone else on her close friends list and he sent her flowers immediately. So they might get back together.

Should I ask her to remove me from her close friends or just mute her stories? I’m afraid that getting too close to her my cause tension between me & my cousin.

I don’t see anything wrong with it considering how he ran that relationship into the ground by cheating on her. Like you said, they were off and on, he can’t come back and say you betrayed him when he betrayed her by cheating on her when they were together.

Just be friends with both of em. Don't pick sides, after all their drama is their drama not your's.

I think she likes you, at least as a friend, maybe more. If it bothers you just mute her stories.
