***Any Thoughts? xxoo
From my experience, it seems like both. My aunt is a narcissist, and she was always putting down the little friends I did have. She didn't want me to have anything. Any sign of happiness and something was seriously wrong with me. She didn't have any friends because she was a nasty person who made everyone else miserable.
I've seen people not happy with their own lives, and then they get jealous of what other people have, and decide "If I can't have it, no one car." I gave up on humanity a long time ago, People are ignorant.
I think people feel threatened by others too. More than one person has gotten mad at me for being more intelligent than them. It's not my fault they can't go to the library, pick up a book, and learn something! lol.
If someone doesn't like themself, depending on the person, they will make it look like you're the one with the problem. They will call you stupid, when really they're just jealous because you're smart. I've gotten quite good at reading the miserable,
You should tell her that it would mean a lot to you if she read your book. I know I'd be upset if someone I cared about didn't want to take the time to read one of my novels, if I ever decided to publish, lol.
I understand though. If she's a narcissist, she's probably jealous that you're a writer. Especially since you are doing something with your life. It's hard work but rewarding. Winning people like this over is pretty much difficult.
I went through his with my aunt. I'm sorry you have to go through this. They can make you feel really bad about yourself, and like you're nothing. Remember though, you're a writer, and you published something you wrote, so you're somebody. :)
That's so sad. It's probably a nice poem too, well written. You should tape it to the bathroom mirror. Then she'd have to read it.
Jealousy? Perhaps.
misery? Definitely, they are human after all.
but there’s one thing you’re missing:
Power.
They want it.
@TooHot2Care She Misinterprets her Own. xx
I heard a phrase i can't forget. " Your friends want you to be better but not better than them" Jealousy is common problem and there is only one way to escape: Don't tell your future plans to anyone, even to your closest friends. After telling that, your brain feels comfort and stops worrying about your plans. And its efforts decreases enormously
I would say it's both. If you're not happy with yourself, how can you be happy for other people? They're just wasting their lives and their precious time on Earth. It's sad.

my opinion neither of those 2. stonewalling is when people get too emotional about an issue so can't handle talking about it. this is a type of defense for coping with that emotion.
Depends on circumstance, some people just don’t know how to communicate at all.
Jealousy is the highest form of flattery.
Misery loves company.
One, the other, or both, but it doesn’t matter to me.
If someone treats me that way I just move on.
I would think that one feeds off of the other, and they would be pretty much stuck with the proverbial vicious cycle of crummy-ness.
Mostly jealousy and envy. Well I guess that means the same thing
Okay both of them
They just want to know why some people think they're born with a silver spoon in their mouths, as if egalitarianism doesn't actually exist
It’s both depending on the person or situation, misery loves company usually
It's most likely both. They are jealous of others which makes them miserable
Can be either or both. Hopefully neither. Just please worry not and be happy! I love You.
OOΞΞ. Sorry, I don’t use x. I use the Hellenic letter ξι.
It’s just a Jewish tradition, not to write X, as many Jews who weren’t familiar with the American alphabet, wrote an O instead of an X for signing, thinking X is for Christ (on the cross?). That’s why We got the bad word κικε, meaning circle in Jewish.
Hurt people, hurt people people that a miserable cause misery for others.
Both, I believe.
I think it's both. I feel sorry for them.
I really don't know, Paris.
NP, @exitseven xx
Jealousy is on the dark side, just another one of Satan's tools
It feels like it could be both
Yes. Envy or misery or both.
That or disappointment.
