Why do some parents never realize they made a mistake and raised their kids wrong until it is too late?

There is a lot of things parents don’t realize because its not the focus. When raising kids your focus on raising them and providing the basics. Its not an essay paper where you sit back after each action and analyze the good and bad. Its not easy when your in a working class and families structure adapted to such. Some parents have a bias towards their children’s actions and other may not know about it. You never know how a child will turn out based on just parenting alone. A lot of other factors come into play. I dont see it as mistakes. Just an experience to learn off of. People will always remember the mistakes but never question the positives

it's not like kids come with instructions. It is all trial and error and mostly a crapshoot after that,

what I mean is how some parents realize their kids are spoiled rotten or turn out to be selfish brats or assholes until their kids are adults.
