Why is walking a daughter down the aisle a father's dream?

Even my father once spoke about how I'll grow up one day and he'll walk me down the aisle. I was then 10 years old; now I'm 16. So is a woman's happiness as an adult only base on finding a man and getting married?

How about growing up, staying single and becoming a wealthy businesswoman or being a great athlete? Why can't that be a father's dream too? Why walking a daughter down the aisle?

Why does a father focus on that moment instead of other moment? Being the owner of a large corporation can be a great moment too.

because thats the moment the father realizes fully that their daughter is grown up, its like putting her in the hands of another man that the father trusts fully to love her and care for her, its why i personally think a man winning over the parents is a must

If I stay single, go to college, work, move out and build a business that's also being a grown up. I don't have to get married to be an adult. Once I turn 18, I'll be of legal age and can move out by on my own by then.

well of course you can but no father deep down wants their daughter to be alone cause it normally leads to unhappiness, every parent wants their child to marry because of grandchildren, and just their child having good company around them, may i ask ehy you dont want to marry?

i feel as you grow you'll grow an interest into it, i believe you'll at some point crave love, and not all relationships are drama, just the toxic one, but no rush and if you do end up craving love, you can still chase it and chase your dreams as well.

Maybe (or maybe not) and in the event, I truly don't care about finding a partner nor ever experience falling in love but live happy doing other goals in life, then as long as I'm happy that should be enough.

Because women are meant to create the next generation to carry forth the species. Like another user said, it's the cycle of life and feminists are toxic to humanity. Gender roles exist for a reason.

Yet I get bored whenever members in my family talk about marriage and soulmates. I don't like anyone at my school nor really care about relationship drama. For me, marriage and the romance life is like ''meh, whatever'' to me.

Probably. I feel like a kid to be honest. I like playing some videos games, hanging out with friends, climbing trees and learning about wildlife. The dating world just doesn't interest me now.

I don't think it is every father's dream. Just for some. Same way bein a BRIDE isn't every girl's dream, just some.
