I’m somewhat on the same boat … i have moments where I want to date and have that special someone. But as I said, it’s moments only.
I just got back from 4 weeks vacations i spent with family and 70% by myself and it was heaaaaven ….
Yes i tend to talk to my girls about dating but mainly coz i have natural plumbing needs and it’s good to vent to my besties and laugh about it.
I think your friend, should she really wanna act on it she would have done it … since it’s just talk … trust me she ain’t desperate

Some people prefer to be alone, but it can be tough to find someone as well.
Not sure how you can motivate her, but invite her to things that you do, but you have an age difference so she might not feel like she fits in.
You might have your work cut out for you.
