I never did. Both my kids went off about 10 summers.

No. I stayed with extended family during the summer. Both of my parents worked full time back then and they didn’t trust strangers to look after me. I was also an only child back then.

No, my father used to threaten my brother and me that he would send us to camp if we didn't stop raising hell in the neighborhood. He was bluffing and we knew it.

Once, for a week, when I was about 9-10. I went to a church camp, but religion was not part of it. I don't recall religion ever being mentioned.

I did. I’m at one right now. This is my last summer though since I’m going off to college next year.

Not camps. But we lived on an island so the summer was all tennis, swimming, and sailing!
