Will you get offended if people think you and your parents look like siblings than parent and child? Why/why not?

Nope, not at all.

My mom is very beautiful. There was a period when my dad and mom separated for about a year. My mom dated a man in his early 30s even though she was 45 and that man even proposed to her.

But my mom and dad reconciled later. And they love each other. All relationships have problems and they didn’t cheat on each other. They were separated but still loved each other and had a great relationship so it’s fine. They are back together now.

So my mom was dating a man who could easily date me in the age category.

It’s funny because I am now seeing someone who’s almost as old as my mom.

So, I guess I would be happy for her if someone said we look like sisters and I have had people say it when I was 19 and my mom was 40.

My mom is so pretty that strangers will talk to her when they see her at restaurants, she's not a beauty queen now like she was in her 30s, but she looks rich and epicurean.

I actually had that happen a lot. My mom looked young for her age up until about 5-10 years ago and after a lot of time in war, I have, shall we say, a lot of city miles on me. People commonly thought she was my older sister (and when we were younger many thought she was my girlfriend/wife... that got awkward for people). I never got offended. I liked that she aged well. Gave me hope that I would too. Then the towers came down and I reversed all that genetic advantage, but... you know... ;)

Nah. I've been told I look like my mom but besides her, i have many...MANY clones around this world. I've been in prison, went to a auction/show twice, went to work when i didn't go that week, and supposedly to a church. 🫠Many. Clones.

People mistake me for my mom sometimes, so I wouldn't be that surprised if someone thought she was my sister. 😂
