I Put Mine in a Special Bag, Having Saving the Majority of Them Over the Years... xxoo
I do save some. It looks like my mom saved them because we are going through her stuff (she passed on last year), and I have found some cards that I sent her that she saved. I am saving those ones that I sent her.
I also found a note that I wrote her probably about 5 years ago. The note that I left her mentioned the items that I bought her at the grocery store. She saved that note and it was in a drawer!
I have a special place where I put them and also not to sound corny but I also have notes that were given to me way back in the day when I was in high-school when they were hand written prior to the days of text messages Paris 😊

I keep them. I like having tangible keepsakes in case the next TBI takes the memories from me again.
I tend to hang onto most everything and difficult to discard things... my mother did that as well. My father... had buckets of bolts and hardware... so do I! I have records from high school... my grades and college. I kept cards, notes for a long time figuring I could read them when I was older to review life and the lives I may have touched. For some reason, I don't like "disconnection" and value... that I was of value. But I also have had difficulty with intimacy. Something "screwed up in there" with how my mind/heart works... don't love it. So, what I want to be is more "in the moment", fully present to love in the moment. That be my idea, that be Godly, which his my heart.
I'm learning to toss stuff anymore as I had a house full of junk. Past is the past. My mom had accumulated so much stuff... it was unreal. It's emotional/mental issues. When I see people with cases full of stuff, and boxes, and closets of dolls and cans... I think they got issues.
Cards... I tossed all the old ones and saved the cards from my wife.
I have saved this one hand written card from an enncounter I had with a little girl that literally pounced on my when I was 50ish. She healed me, my heart was hurting and after that, I felt better. Was an incredible moment for me that spoke volumes of God. I shared that experience with my wife. Children... their hearts are open, and that is another way we adults can see God.
I'd toss all the old stuff because it's dragging around the past. Focus on being fully present as much as is possible.
No I hang on to every single card av had from I was able to keep them there all in a shoe box in my wardrobe I just collect them all whenever I get on I keep nice things I don't fling them i like to look bsck on them and see what nice thing people wrote one from my father and other family that died when i was 18 and smile ones from ma ex when he use to say love you baby happy birthday i just look at thise ones abd say yeah whatever long time ago nd put tgem away even though there old ones from my ex i still keep because there nice cards the reason i kept them is because am avle to look at ones from him thought crying now cause i dont love him anymore but there still nice card and ines from his mu and my family and friends
My mom always said your birthday or Christmas has already happened. Get rid of them, you can’t do anything with them. So I did. But for some reason I kept two of my birthday cards from both my aunts and I’m glad I did - that same year a few months later after my birthday - one of my aunts passed away. A year later I got a birthday card from my aunt, uncle and cousin. A few months later he passed away and then a few months after that she passed away too. 😞
It depends on what card is for. I don't keep them forever. Sometimes depending on the item I end up being a horder or pack-rat. Not wanting to be one of those. Easy for me to become so I've got to be careful.
girlfriend has given me necklaces in past and still have them.
I think we have a few cards saved from special moments in our families life. First birthdays for our children, perhaps a couple of love letters to each other from when we were dating.
There's a few of them I TRIED to save but, I suspect they all got thrown out 4 years ago when I lost my house and wasn't allowed to go back in to get the rest of my stuff.
Thanks!
None really for myself. But for my kids the "special ages" or particuarly special cards will be put in a folder for them.
The very special cards will be " saved " on a hard drive array. The card self will be stored in a old fashion photo album.
I keep them all. I put them in my box of memories. 😅
I have some cards from a previous wife and girlfriends from 10-20 years ago.
I have a few that I keep but not all of them, there's too many otherwise
I don't keep all of them. I do keep important ones... for memories.
I keep all the ones from my grandmother, which are really the only ones I've ever gotten.
I even keep the silk belt that I used to tie my ex up sometimes.
I find it hard to throw memorable things away.
I have 3-4 boxes here full with the gifts I’ve received in China in the past 4.5 years and all the memories are kept in there.
Oh, I just looked at the question saying cards, I also keep some hand-written letters and cards I’ve gotten from people.
Eventually ALL of the cards given to me are recycled.
Yes, MANually!
I keep a few
because I actually read the person had to say and sometimes it is very meaningful
I have a couple letters from a girl I once met 30 years ago whom I never saw again. All others are tossed out.
I save some of them, some I toss, I have many cards from my mom who has been gone almost 20 years
I have so much in storage though
My Mum kept all the special cards and now she has gone i have them
Usually the current year or so, and saving special milestone cards.
I am not and to toss anything away that has been given to me
Able to*
Yes, I'm not even able to get rid of gifts given by my ex🥲
I do, but periodically purge them every couple of years
I kept some of the nice cards and the ones that my kids took the time to make when they were younger
I've got some from my mom and grandma because they are gone
I keep them if that person hasn't wronged me
I learned a trick before, for Christmas cards: keep the ones you receive and next year send cards to ask those people👍
I still have them all. I don't know what I am keeping them for; but it seems wrong to toss them.
I'm pretty sentimental so I actually keep some of them
Maybe some but I can’t find them even if I wanted to 😂
gay question. jk. Hell no striaght in the trash
i save all of them<3
i keep all of them somewhere
I didn't do it when I was younger but as I got older I started to hold on to my Christmas or birthday cards I got and now I'm holding on to my son's cards to
I don't get cards like that, I get a $4 card and then some brier, "happy birthday, love yo7", or "merry Christmas, love you". So I just trash
I have saved every card ever given to me by my kids. 💕
I've never had anyone giving me these cards, but if I did I would keep them.
I have kept some of them.
I throw mine away. I hate stuff. I celebrate trash day! Lol. I love throwing things away.
Whenever I am given special cards, I would hang on to them..
I had some but I don’t know where they are.
I keep all of them forever unless it's from a ex
I usually hold on to them.
I collect some of them.
Mostly toss but I’ve kept a few
Keep them... or, try to.
Kind of depends on who it’s from with me
