Do you find, "assisting to a funeral", something difficult to do?

I've noticed I have a hard time assisting to funerals.

I am usually okay about going to funerals, and I think most people get accustomed to it as they get older. I still get emotional at the funeral of a military veteran when Taps is played and the flag is presented to the widow at the graveside service. I've never been to a funeral, even thought some people that I've met already died. But yes, it must be something difficult to do. Not only because you're losing someone but also because it reminds you of your own mortality.

depends highly on who it was and the relationship with a person. My nan's was particularly hard to deal with. But i remember just being bored at one when i was around 7 ish for a great grandma

I don't attending funerals either. You shouldn't be expected to attend a funeral of you don't feel up to it. Funerals are to help those left behind deal with the loss. If the funeral isn't going to do that for you, don't go.
