I realised that there’s nothing else I actually want for Christmas. What I want, besides celebrating with family and friends, is to save enough money to visit my sick aunt interstate in a few months, buy some new bras and beautiful winter pyjamas with the gift cards I’ve been gifted for Christmas by friends and save up for my long distance USA boyfriend’s stay with me over Easter. When we decide whether or not to proceed with a wedding in a year or two.

That's really cool you've got your priorities straight though, saving up to visit family and planning things with your long distance boyfriend. It sucks your aunt is sick, I hope she feels better soon. And wanting cozy winter jammies and new bras totally makes sense too, nothing wrong with that! Seems like your friends get you and are supporting your savings goals with nice gift cards. I'm sure your boyfriend will really appreciate you having him visit for Easter too. It's really mature of you to think about the big picture of possibly getting married in a year or so. You've got a good head on your shoulders for sure. Just make sure you still make time to relax and enjoy Christmas with your loved ones too, all that serious planning can wait for another day! Seems like you've got an awesome relationship and future to look forward to.
