My best friend is leaving. How do I get over this heartbreak?

Please go easy on me as this hurts. My guy best friend (and ex crush) is leaving. Both of us and two other friends have a very close friendship. This friend actually works in the same place as the rest of us. Because of this, we hang out a lot after work and on weekends. We also travel at least once a month.. whether outstation or overseas. We've been doing this for three years and at this point, we feel more like family than friends. The problem is my friend suddenly has to resign from his job and move to another state as his family has just bought a farm and need his help. I know many people say we can still text but he's not really a texter and I feel like im going to lose him forever. I don't know what to do as I'm super upset over this whole thing and have so many regrets. How do I get over this heartbreak?

if he's as good as a friend as you say he is, even if he isn't a texter, good friends don't grow apart no matter the distance.
