How to not hate my father?

today he yelled at me and i yelled at him back and i cried after where he couldn’t see me. i don’t have respect for him, but since rn i live under his roof is what he says i’m 25 but sometimes i feel like such a loser sometimes i just want to sleep and wake up in a year or sometimes i want to rebel myself but i certainly can’t reason with a 70 year old man.

My highest recommendation is that you seek out and find Christ within yourself, seek healing for the trauma you've experienced in life... possibly since you were a young child. Heal and gain perspective over all of this so you can be your best as you were made to be, not what the world projected onto you.

Then work your way to in health and success to freedom so you can be in control of your environment.

Seek healthy relationships with real people, go to church... filled with wounded people, but also some good strong praying people. Keep seeking til you find successful and healthy people that are positive and supportive and empathy.

Build your better self... got a long ways to go... just getting started. This is just stress. Parents get older, they often get more difficult to handle. Build support network!

It's tough, but it seems that these things happen when you live at home or growing up in teen years I know when my sister, and I was in High School she wanted to stay home from School so she would tell my dad that she had the diarrhea I guess she was getting bullied at School I don't know what to think

It's tough, all I can say sometimes parents don't know how to show love for their kids because they didn't get the same treatment when they were kids. His parents probably yelled and maybe did more than what he is doing to you, it's about asking how he grew up and that way better understand. Maybe he didn't have a mom or dad or maybe he has both but they didn't show love to him so he doesn't show it to you..

it depends on why he yelled at you. this is normal to fight with your parents. but if it is really bothering you, gather up your funds and a few roommates and move out

Do you hate him or is it just the way he treats and reacts to you and the things you do?
Except for my first 5 or 6 years, my dad was ALWAYS on my ass about EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING I did, tried to do or failed to do!! NOTHING I did or said was EVER good enough for him!!
When I was your age, he kicked me out of the house!! I left for a day or two but, eventually sneaked back with mom's help.
The very next day, XTC put out a new album and a local record store was premiering it so, I walked over to listen to it and bought a copy. On the album was a fairly heartfelt song called, "Hold Me, My Daddy". One night, after another of his raging fits, I decided to copy down the lyrics onto a sheet of paper as if I'd written the song and left it on the kitchen table overnight where he'd see it first thing in the morning. He read it and the only time he yelled at me after that was one night, we were playing poker with his siblings and I made what he thought was a dumb play.
It was hung on the door of the fridge for a few years. When his sister in law came for a visit from Texas, I saw him take it with him into the back yard and show it to her! Obviously, they were talking about me and he was proud of me for having written that and probably telling her how it changed his life or the way he sees things, or, at least, me.
