How can I stop hating my dad?

i am with my dad but i can't help hating him. He treated me very bad when i was little. He confessed to my mom. But i still have this hates inside.

Forget about forgiveness. Leave the past in the rearview mirror for your own benefit. Put the baggage down on the side of the road and keep walking. Stop waiting for an apology that may never come or some miraculous change in a guy that was and probably remains an asshole. I tried to get my sisters to understand that idea. They couldn't let go.

You act like an adult and you have a conversation with him about how you felt growing up. Understand it's his first time being a human also. Allow him to apologize and then work on forgiveness.

You know I'd suggest you take some time away from your Dad like three/six months and see how you feel. Don't ignore him tho if he reaches out answer his texts/calls here and there. Sometimes we need to distance ourselves from situations that bother us to see things from different perspectives. What you're feeling is valid.
