Is it ok not to have a best friend?

Best friends are not necessarily as important as you are to yourself. That is, look at yourself first and be comfortable alone as you would be with another person. Best friends are nice, but why limit yourself to one? You can find dozens of others who are trustworthy and reliable. Friends come and go--it's the few good ones you keep along the way that are worth having.

It's okay not to have a best friend, I think sometimes people end up getting hurt in the end after we place trust in them, but who knows?

You won't get sent to jail or pay extra taxes if you don't have a best friend. But why would someone not want to have a best friend?
