So I've been out of work for almost a year and I used to have a good career I'm looking for work but also taking a bit of a break. I had some muscle issues in the last year too Anyways one of my great friends wants me to help out with her kids cooking cleaning and bathing them etc and whenever I hear from her now it's for her to ask me a favour with the kids. It's always favours She didn't even get me an Christmas card or present. I don't want the world but some acknowledgement would be nice She wasn't like this before when I was working but I feel like she thinks less of me now because I don't work. Even her mom said looking after the kids will distract me Is she just using me because im not working?

is she at least compensating you with money or something? the fact that she only contacts you when she needs something is an indicator that she uses you for her connivence. and since you say you had muscle issues, which sounds awful, and then making you do all of this cooking, cleaning, and bathing her kids, is just too much. say no, make up an excuse, or ignore her. she will likely bother someone else if you make yourself unavailable.
