How evil is giving up a baby for adoption without the father's consent nor knowledge?

In this video, this man seems on the verge of tears. The child's mother lied to him about their baby dying of SIDS. Then he finds out his baby daughter is still alive but since they're unmarried, she was given up for adoption. Done without his consent nor knowledge. He wants his baby girl back. He still wanted to raise his daughter as a single father.

If you can give it a 1-10 rating scale, how evil is this?

Pretty damned evil- but such are the consequences of ignoring the interests of half the population. Ever hear of Shane Seyer? He was sued for child support in 1991, found liable, and forced to make child support payments, which was a problem, because he wasn't legally allowed to work in the country. Because he was an illegal immigrant? No- because he was twelve. His babysitter, Colleen Hermesmann, had begun a sexual relationship with him, gotten pregnant, and had the baby. In fairness to her, she wasn't the one who filed the suit; that was the state of Kansas. Shane obviously couldn't consent, but since he'd never complained about Colleen's actions, and the state supreme court ruled that meant that he had to pay fifty bucks a month to her.

Even back then, fifty bucks a month was NOTHING on the cost of raising a kid; this was nothing less than a fine he had to pay for being raped. Of course, Kansas is only one state- but thirteen others immediately made laws following the same precedent for their own states. When Roe V Wade was overturned, one of the slogans used was "Consent to sex is not consent to parenthood", but that has only ever applied to women; for men, the law says "possession of functioning testicles is consent to parenthood".

Being a woman obviously doesn't mean having no moral values, but when you're raised in, and live in, a society that pushes ideas like these, it's not hard to see why so many people think a father is nothing more than a source of sperm and money.

There's been many cases like that. A guy I worked with got done like that. Soon as got a job out of college the teacher he had knocked up at age 15 filled a paternity suit.

It's pure evil. But what is most disgusting is that she has the legal right to do that, and the father has zero legal right to know he has a child. It's barbaric.

I think those are called feminazis aka the extreme male haters and crazy psychos. They gave a bad reputation towards what feminism was suppose to be about. That's a very sad case and I really hope that dude gets his baby back. They literally robbed him out of his choice of being a father.

100% evil. Men have no rights to his children. Women have all the rights and apparently all the decision making power. Men just get punished for getting the woman he love’s pregnant. Whether it be child support if she decides to have his child or the punishment of not getting to have sole custody of his child if she doesn’t want it. She either gets an abortion without his say or she has the child and puts it up for adoption without his say. And women claim men have all the rights.

Evil is evil, just like kinda pregnant is pregnant, so I'm not going to rate it. It's just horrific to not give the father an opportunity to raise his daughter. However, I could see rationalizations in other cases where the father is a convicted sexual abuser, or a serious felony, is a drug addict, unemployed, etc.

I’d probably beat the brakes off a woman if she did something like that to me. You basically just lost our kid. You may as well have handed him over to a kidnapper.
