    You can regulate it by removing the habits in your life that help cause it or any negative emotions. Also, having healthy habits can help you think healthier.

    For example:

    - Punching things to deal with your anger is often advised to help it, but it is actually bad. It reinforces the idea that you need to hit something. It is why a lot of boxers have anger issues.

    - Stay away from things that cause you anger especially if you know you are strained physically/mentally.

    - Have a healthy sleeping pattern and just a good routine that works for you in general to your benefit.

    I have anger issues and sometimes it slips, but that is okay as long as you do not let it become a habit. Consistency and effort is what matters, so reflect on your habits in your life.

    It's not easy. And it doesn't happen in a minute or overnight. Takes a lot of mental preparation to be able to control anger if you've been a short tempered person.
    The thoughts to counter anger should be constant in your mind. So the brain remembers when you are actually starting to get angry.
    One of the thoughts is nothing changes or nothing gets late if you step back for a minute when you are getting angry. Keep yourself quiet and pay attention to the intellect in that one minute. Think of better responses than just bursting out upon someone.
    Anger is never a solution. We only do bad to ourselves and worsens situation more often than not.

    The hardest part is you have to want to. The next hardest part is remembering you want to control it when you feel it happening. It's easy to resolve to go on a diet. It gets much harder to stay on diet when staring at your favorite dessert
