Yes I do, just hands and no leaving Mark's or anything. But I have found in my life the most disrespectful people I ever met, they were never spanked. Every time I have the spanking conversation, the people who are respectful said they were spanked growing up. The non spanked are usually rude and disrespectful.

Spanking is sometimes the only option left. I've only ever spanked my kids a few times when they've gotten out of hand but it does work.

by the way before I had kids I was against spanking (I was never spanked growing up) but one of my kids changed my mind about that. And what's crazy is that he is the most well behaved especially at school. My other son only got spanked once or twice and he's sooo bad with the back talking. I taught him to well how to use his words and it's backfiring on us. Sometimes I wish I spanked him more 😂

I don’t have kids but was initially spanked, my brother was being the older one, my sister was not. A year or so into spanking me (not a constant thing lol), they decided it did not work and left too many emotional scars. It is not the physical punishment, it’s the emotional. I think it was my sister screaming and going into hysterics that she might be spanked for dropping some of her dinner off her plate caused a big rethink. I guess having a child literally terrified before anything had been said was sufficient. It’s not those physical marks, it’s how it impacts people emotionally. As an adult I have spoken to girl friends about spanking and the impact on them, which is different to how a child receives it, however the emotional / mental side of it is still very much there. I’ve been to a few Psychology lectures and talks on kinks.

I punish a kid by teaching them something useful. It could just be physical exercise, they should stay in shape, in my opinion. But it could be helping me in the kitchen. Helping me with groceries. Sending a letter. Getting things done I need to do and having the kid tag along As My Right Hand Man! Telling him what we do, how we do, why we do.

Yes but we call it a popping. Mama won’t put her foot down for discipline so I have to be the one to lay down the law. I do it hand to skin because if you do it through those thick jeans, the kid won’t feel anything much.

It's psychologically damaging to abuse a child obviously. Physically harming children is for morons and the mentally ill. I do not hit my children ever and they are better behaved than children twice their age.

I only spanked my kids once. They were fighting in the back seat and I told them if they did not stop I would pull the car over and give them a good beating. They decided to call my bluff

But everything aside and just looking at the effects for different training or education methods.

Violence to punish bad behaviour is by far the worst, least effective method.

So you are inflicting pain and those you love and it won't do anything.

So if you think abusing kids to educate them is good and helpfull, you are just a violent asshole.

And than you got all the other stuff, like commiting a crime, causing trauma, raising violent adults, ...
