We're constantly told not to judge others, and yet people (esp. women) who opt to remain child-free are judged all the time. Why?

I'll admit to being rather judgmental myself, but even so I don't understand this. After all, many of us just don't have what it takes to be a parent, and then there are others who have, for example, hereditary worries (i. e. passing on something to potential offspring that, if passed on, will cause endless misery for the child).

There are currently approximately eight thousand million of us on this godforsaken planet, so do we really need any more? What kind of world will those children be living in, 20, 30 or 40 years from now?

I've literally never seen a woman judged for being child free in my actual entire life. Not even on the internet. Where unpopular opinions are actually bolstered.

I appreciate it but the point was that it is likely so incredibly uncommon that it's not worth fussing over.

I can go link an article over someone who murdered someone but the fact of the matter is way less than 1% of people get murdered.

Also, while I could be mistaken, I believe I recall that person being transgender and that is the reason they feel so strongly about their discontent with their inability to conceive children. So it's a bit of an edge-case.

Having and raising children is the main purpose women. Imagine if a guy talked about being "job free", wound anyone have respect for him?
