Growing up, where you able to have an open and transparent conversation with your parents about all your life experiences? Did you lie?

I sadly grew up in a religious household where there were rules that I simply couldn't have those open and honest conversations with the parents. I was a rebellious kid and sadly on many occasions a lie was easier than talking about it.

I've never lied to them no...

but we didn't talk much as I was growing up, and they didn't know much about other parts of my life that they did not see, especially school and other friends I had, that did not live on our street

it's not that they were not open nor I would refuse.. it is just kind of how we grew up... pretty much they would let me be and trusted that I would be fine

which was funny, because I indeed was severely depressed and I almost didn't make it, lol...

Yes, my parents were very cool. I had a good relationship with my parents and I was happy about that.

Yeah, I was always pretty truthful with my parents. I never felt the need to lie or omit things. They were always welcoming if I had to tell them anything.
