Would you call prejudicial behavior if it was a friend or relative of yours?

So they say or act racist, or sexist, or homophobic or what have you in your presence while you are trying to hang out. Would you call them out for it? and have you done so before?

I would and i have before

If it was really blatant and they seemed very serious with it then yes i would. otherwise i'd just ignore it

I have relatives who are racist, homophobic and sexist. I've tried to call them out but we always end up arguing. So, now I don't say anything. I also know they won't change, calling them out is pointless.

I only talk to them when it's strictly necessary.

I've never been in this situation before because I only hang with respectful people. I don't tolerate people being disrespectful. If I was in this situation I would definitely call them out on it as soon as I heard it.

Prejudice is a sign of intelligence. I would encourage it. When walking through the woods we look for wolf prints and ignorer rabbit prints for obvious stereotypes.
