The door would be open and we would obviously have clothes on.. so, yeah.
How can I get her to agree?

Trending & News The best thing you can do is just abide by your parents rule.
I know I know - it's lame, but hey it's their house.
Just watch the movie in the family room - I doubt anyone will be all up in your guyses little personal moment.
Your boyfriend and you show you can behave respectively together, your parents will relax a bit and let him be in your room.
Or, you can be really loud and annoy the hell outta your parents till they tell you to go to your room lol
But I'd say just listen to them.
Being in your room with the door open and people around is pretty much the same as being in the family room watching the movie lol - you don't have any privacy either way.
Plus if you watch the movie pretty late when everyone else in the house is relaxing in their own rooms and out of the picture, then maybe you guys can sneak a kiss or something if that's what you want the privacy for.
Just listen to your parents, and enjoy your movie with your boy -
Hell you'll have plenty of time to be alone with a guy, so what's one night?
our family room doesn't have a tv. we have a TV in the basement, but I have family in town and they're all down there having obnoxiously loud discussions so I don't want to deal with that.
Lol oh fun - so where else can you guys possibly watch a movie? If the only place is your room, then tell her that.
That's a pretty legit reason. If she still won't let you, then ask her for 10 bucks to go to the movie theatre.
( My parents are cheap so, presenting that option changed their minds :P )
Sorry everyone seems to be telling you to "live with it" and "get over it". Ignore that. It's people having that "holier-than-thou" attitude. Your request seems quite reasonable. I understand where you're coming from, and I think you have a right to be frustrated. Still, it is true that short of asking her nicely and telling her you'll leave the door open, there's no way to get her to agree if she's made up her mind. Well, it's been days since that night anyway, but I thought I'd put my thoughts out there. Perhaps next time something like this happens you can come up with something else fun to do. Maybe go to the theater's to see a movie.
we've definitely gone to the movie theater a couple times :)
i think I'll deal with it for now, and once my parents start to trust him more, then I'll ask again.
WEll don't have him in your room then. It's not an unalienable right to have your boyfriend in your room. Get over it and have him in the family room with everyone around. Or just deal
You can't.
Not for tonight anyway.
The best way to get her to agree, is to stop trying to circumvent her wishes in the first place and act like an adult.
Do as she tells you. Be obedient. When you've built up a level of trust, then she'll trust you. Not until then.
They should because when you get older your just going to go crazy and have boys like all over the place

you can't... but you can ask her, truthfully- why she won't let you, and see if you can change her mind. don't get into a fight or anything- that won't end well...
there are pretty much no way she'll agree- overprotective parents are like that...
you can't. get over it. be happy she's letting you have him over in the first place
Their house, their rules.
Live with it.
