They're upset because I don't want anything to do with my dysfunctional family nor do I want my girlfriend dealing with them either as they don't support me being in the LGBTQ community...

I want my family to live their life and go on about their business... once I move here soon...

you only have one family and at times in life, you want support or require support as do other family members.

but if they are unsupportive of your decisions, then it's your call how much boundaries you put up.
