Why would my aunt add me on social media?

Like 10 years ago when I was a freshman in college, my 50 year old (well she was like 42 at the time), aunt said that she hopes I would die, and that I’m an abusive creep. She blocked me on social media. Years later she added me on my new account? Should I be sketched out?

Whoa, that's super weird that your aunt said all that mean stuff to you years ago and now suddenly wants to add you. I'd definitely be sketched out if I were you. Like why the change of heart after being so nasty before? Something doesn't add up.

A few possibilities I can think of:

- She's going through some midlife crisis and trying to reconnect with family, but that's a weird way to start after dissing you so bad.

- Maybe she wants to snoop on your life now and see what you've been up to. Could be nosey/judgmental vibes.

- Long shot, but what if she's in some kind of legal trouble and wants your help? That threat before was harsh.

- Maybe she just feels guilty now and wants to apologize. But I'd still be careful accepting until I knew her deal.

I'd probably not add her back right away. Unless she reaches out with a Really good explanation for her actions before. No need to give her an easy in to your life after being so cruel, you know? Play it cool for now and see what else happens. Strange situation for sure, dude!

maybe she's sorry for what she said and is a different person now? but yeah i'd still be distant until you figure out how she is as a person now and if she still treats others like crap
