Should I ditch these two friends?

For the last two years I have been part of this friendship group with two girls. I have found the last two years whenever I’ve met up with both these girls the interaction has been toxic to the point that after I got out of an abusive relationship with a guy I blocked both of them on everything thinking I’d finally left that toxic friendship group but then I unblocked them both and they got back in contact with me and now I’m still meeting up with them.

Every time I come away from meeting up with them I feel drained and very insecure about myself. The first time we all properly went for drinks together I noticed when I was talking they would give each other the side eye and smirk so I felt too self conscious to say anything else. They will always hype each other and compliment each other in front of me but completely ignore me even when I compliment them and build them up. One of the girls is incapable of liking anything I post on social media or congratulating me if I achieve something like a new job. They will both tell each other they look gorgeous if we are all on a night out together but completely look past me even when I’ve made effort to get dressed up do my make up and look nice.

Over the years they have both met up in secret without me and one time I caught them both having a coffee together without me and then they acted all guilty after knowing i caught them hanging out without me and sent me loads of apology messages on the group chat.

One of the girls literally abandoned me in a bar when I was in a bad place and an abusive relationship, she just got up and left without saying anything and I had to walk home by myself. She also warned me to stop speaking to a guy who she matched with on a dating site even though I had no idea who he was and I had never spoken to him in my life. Then when I meet up all she wants to do is brag to me about how many guys have a crush on her and buy her gifts and it’s really draining

If you don't realize by now that this group is totally toxic and hostile towards you, then I don't know how much more you need to bear and support.

It is obvious that you are merely tolerated but that you will never belong to the inner circle. You should have left that group the second you realized something was foul and not try to fix something that cannot be fixed.

They obviously shut you out of their talks and meetings and the message they bring across could not be clearer to you. They will not have the decency to tell you that you are not welcome and they will even play the game with you and apologize although their apology is far from being sincere.

Remove them from all your social media and do no longer interact with them. You can remain civil and greet them whenever you see them but you should limit to that and not more.

Yeah it’s a problem those Two. Don’t go out drinking alcohol with people like that. It creates problems. Keep it simple. Give it one more chance maybe talk to them about it next time do something fun and interesting without drinking alcohol. I would have a problem if somebody left me in a place and abandoned me.
