I'm upset because she's busy out on a 2 week trip with her 3 female friends. She saved money for that, for herself. It's not even a trip to a different city or state but towards Brazil and Chile. By the time she comes back, she's going to be broke. It's not the first time she has saved money for herself. Last time it was for a nose job, which she never needed. She's been acting like a teenager. No, she's not single. My parents are married but she's acting like she were single. All of the sudden she wants to go on trips with her friends, go to friends reunions and parties, etc.
Meanwhile, my father and I are spending money on my upcoming wedding. My mother won't collaborate on anything (she'll be broke again once she comes back from her trip) other than just presenting herself.
I feel as if she doesn't care about my own day. She chose her trip, her own self over me; her only child.

I think you’re acting very spoilt. You think just because you’re her only child there’s an obligation for her to pour all her excess money into your wedding? As if your father, family and whoever else aren’t already saving and scrounging to make a special day for you? People get married in courthouses, backyards, public beaches, doing whatever they can to remove financial burden while prioritizing the most important aspect of it all: that official married license. You on the other hand seem to be more concerned with having that fairytale wedding at all costs, mad at those who aren’t willing to sacrifice in order to get it. Your moms work is done, she raised you into an adult women fixing to get married and now she’s living life. She has the right to put some money aside from herself, not drop every penny into your marriage funds. Sorry not sorry. Maybe you should cut some corners in this wedding so the people around you don’t have to struggle to make it what you want it to be.
she's going through a mid-life crisis. and i can get her marriage isn't going to well either, but no one knows that yet. but just by her behavior, it's obvious. this is what my divorce mother acted like. she got tattoos, rode on motorcycles, got fake boobs, etc. i'm like wtf is going on?
and yes that's selfish of her.
