Sure. Some of my friends and I don't agree on political issues.
Msm consuming, politically partisan ideologues are kind of tough, though.

What's weird is, I have what I consider to be liberal values.
When my wife and I moved to this area in 2002, became members of a liberal, nondenominational, Unitarian Universalist church in order to meet people. I was surprised to fit right in, loved it, and made some really good friends.
But new members - upper crust, latte liberals from the San Fran Bay area - began arriving. They had advanced degrees, had retired from corporate jobs, and thought they were smart because they read the NYT every day. Aside from their politics, they were some of the most conservative people I ever met.
They started influencing the churches politics and it became more and more woke.

When I voiced negative opinions about Hillary in 2016 and, later, questioned the "white privilege" nonsense, they decided that I was a Trump supporting conservative.
Then, when my wife and I refused to mask or get vaxed, our long time friends abandoned us.

My point is, I find it very difficult to get along with "modern" liberal ideologues because they think they know everything. And if you disagree with them on anything, they stereotype you as the enemy.

My conservative friends tend to be much more open minded. They have more of a "live and let live" attitude.

I do have liberal/progressive friends. But they are the ones who have moved past partisan politics like me. They are bright, open minded, do research and, yes, consider "conspiracy theories" as alternatives to the official narrative.

YES!!! VERY MUCH SO!!! There is a great organization called Braver Angels where they pair up different ends of the political spectrum to get together for conversation so they can talk to each other instead of yell past each other. Most just meet for coffee once or twice a month and just talk about current events. My first partner and I unfortunately did not get along I think largely due to personality conflicts than political conflicts. My new partner is great! I feel like I'm being heard and he said the same thing!

I am. I respect others political views even if they are different than mine, and I do expect the same consideration in return. That being said, I try to avoid political topics as much as I can.

We can disagree economically, we can disagree on how politicians handle pretty much anything thrown at them, but we can’t disagree on who deserves what rights as people in this country.

I don't have any political leaning, so... a lot of people in my life with a leaning would "disagree" with mine, however, no... it's never been an issue before, lol
