Why would someone be nice to you in person and be friendly, but not follow you back on insta, ever?

Maybe they just don’t like your content. Don’t take it personal if someone decides to curate their feed online. That’s what you’re supposed to be doing online anyway

This mainly happens in a lot of females on Instagram. I don't know about males on Instagram, but a lot of females have problems with this same issue.

Do they contact you on Instagram or other social platforms? Do they for sure know you are there? I certainly would not think they are above you. Just ask them.

Maybe it's not their thing. Perhaps, they prefer to text or call.

There could be a plethora of reasons for that. It might mean that they don't actually like you or they don't want someone who has a beef with you to know they're interacting with you.
