Is my boyfriend leading me on?

I have been going out with this guy for like about two months now. He had even invited me away on get away together while he was on a Business trip for a weekend during this time as well.

Now. Barely hear from him. I am pretty much initiating most the texts. He has also cancelled two dates as well. The first one was because of he's Grandma being sick and admitted to Hospital (know that one was true because our mutual friend brought that up without me even mentioning it).

Second one was because of a work mate getting injured. He had to help him out with that. I called him out on canceling again. Saying 'don't pull this bull**** on me if it is not true. If you are not interested just say so' he says he would not have asked me out if he was not interested. He organised our date remember?

The guy is very busy with work, uni and Grandma being sick.

He barely rings and texts first. He says he will call and this has been like the second time he has not now. He usually does follow through with it but now it just does not.

Since he got back from Brisbane. In the last two weeks. I have only seen him twice. He does reply to my messages though. Message like

9:30pm on a Sunday night. He did bring over Ice Cream for us and a Dvd for us to watch though the last time. Have a few Dvd's of he's still at my place, even now.

It has been about a week now and we have not hung out with him. He has replied to my messages but has not called me back.

This is doing my head in. Not knowing what is going on. He has never said he was not interested either. I am so confused.

He's friend told me that from experience guys usually put girls on the back burner when they are stressed out, when they have things like that going on in their life.


Would love a guys opinion on this as well.

It is doing my head in when he is canceling dates, not calling me back and not saying anything. He never did last night and have not hung out in like a week. Why keep me hanging around then?


Why make me think you are still interested when you don't really make the effort. This makes me wish I never went out of my way for him in QLD. :(,

You desrve to be shown a little more attention and he should at least be putting in a little more effort especially if he has just got back from hloiday, usually this ignites a spark to catch up with the time you lost when being apart, so I find it weird that conveniantly all these things happen, but I also find it weird that he fails to share his burden with you, and makes the excuse of a friend, ? are you not supposed to be his best friend, I would feel that his efforts are limited towards me, so have an open discussion, and be honest about the way you feel, because his emotions may have dimmed after being on holiday, and you ned to know where you stand, a simple explanation is worthless with out the effort following if he is still as interested, but if he don't put a bit more effort into the relationship, I would assume that there is problems that really need sorting out, hope it all works out, x

That is exactly how I am feeling. He has a lot of stuff going on but is not sharing any of that with me. This all got full on after Brissy as well. He's Grandma especially. We really do need to do that and I want to know where I stand because lately I really do not feel like I am in a relationship at all and right now I do feel really hurt by he's lack of effort. Do want to sort things out. Fingers crossed.

I know its going to be hard be even if its to spare your talents, treat this guy as he has you, and have no contact, if he thinks anything of you he will eventually get in touch, but for now, he doesn't seem to be putting in the effort a relationship requires, so he not worth your time and effort, leave yourself free for someone who would give you the attention you desrve,x

Your better off just leaving it as it is, because a rash decision can be taken the wrong way, so don't make any moves, leave him where he is, give him time, but in the meantime, get on with your life and don't make any contact, let him initiate contact, its his time to make a bit of effort towards you,x

Girl the man is busy, he has a lot going on right now. You need to be supportive and understanding of his lifestyle or breakup with him if you cannot hang and compromise. He seems like a really good man, but from reading this it seems like he is very stressed. I say don't argue with him and send him flirty fun texts that would make his day easier. Doing this will not make you look like another burden on his shoulders, but rather his girl that is going to make his day better. When he comes over chill out an have the ice cream and DVD already out and just have fun :D Best of luck ease up on that man! :D

If you aren't committed then date other guys, if you are committed, after only 2 months then I think you are moving too fast with him. You need to relax, find something to distract you and give him a little cold shoulder for a few days. See how he reacts and that will tell what you want to know. Dvd's have no meaning, actions are everything.
