Trending & News Imagine that someone hates you for no good reason, maybe political or something like that, and always doing evil things to you, along with his friends - What would you do to make peace with such a person?

I can’t control how other people feel about me, and trying to validate who I am to someone who hates me implicitly for that same reason is someone I won’t be able to find a middle ground with. The best peace I can make is to give them space and let them be, and I’ll be left alone too.
I'm giving them space but they won't leave me alone.
So ask them to, or your resident authority to keep you separate if it’s causing issues
What if they are causing issues online only?
Report and block them
Ok, but how to block a hacker?
Is it a hacker or do they just make multiple accounts to harass you?
It's both. I know how to block multiple accounts... but cyber-harassing is a problem (e. g jamming my network, slowing down my computer, changing my settings).
So cut off your internet connection and speak to a professional
Keep your computer offline and turned off completely. They can’t access your network remotely if you’re not actively using it and then see a tech expert to see how to best protect yourself
Ok, thanks for the advice.
You don't. No valid reason means you get over it and move on.
But they won't leave me alone.
Are you implying that you can't get away from the people involved, like colleagues?
Yes, but they are not my colleagues.
Given your age range then it has to be family members?
No, I used to be friends with one of them.
Ah, in that case, I would not look for peace at all, I guess I would just walk away since I have no obligations to have ties? I haven't been hated by anyone during friendships though, so I'm speculating
But what if they won't leave me alone?
Hmm I don't understand the situation you're in, why are they able to follow you at all, unless you live in a very small town?
Yes, I live in a small town, they are following me, and cyber-harassing me online.
Okay, small towns are terrible for that, I've heard about this. You can at least disappear online easily but in person... Not really. Assuming mediating doesn't work then... It depends on how much they represent a handicap in your life, and how much you have ties with your town
I'd like to leave my town. It's not easy online either if they are hackers. Unless there is some other solution.
Well, disappearing online, I mean abandoning your accounts and creating new ones, with a username that is not your civil name. This is what I'm doing, my civil name has no significant existence, online.
I wish you luck with your hypothetical house move !
Thanks, but disappearing online can't help against hackers, they can find me trough IP address.
Also, they are spreading propaganda against me in some groups and communities on WhatsApp, and they use it to follow me, their friends are reporting them wherever I go.
In the general case, mostly website admins have access to your IP address. If your IP is a problem, I believe any VPN solves the problem?
VPN can solve the problem, unless they have installed some tracking program or a backdoor on my computer.
Well, if we really want to consider all possibilities then you just need another computer. A word of warning though, people are not magicians, hacking is not magic, few people in reality have the skills OR the motive to do track you this far. Especially in a small town where, statistically, there can't be many skilled hackers.
True and skilled hackers are looking for money, not individuals, as they attack the quantity not the quality.
Some hackers actually attack out of spite, because they can, and these guys have the skill.
Lots of them won't risk, because they know that law usually punishes those who are looking for money.
Unfortunately, most countries don't have strict enough laws for cyber-harassing, they usually just give them a warning.
I already changed three computers, but they always find me, I guess they have someone who works in all three of the internet providers in my country, someone who is helping them in finding me... they are like some sort of mafia.
I should just move out of the country.
But my question is - How to make peace with them, maybe there is a better way.
You should try some kind of a diplomatic approach.
Thanks for the MHO
