For those of you that want children, if single parenthood was the only way you could have a child, would you do it?

Let’s say there’s some extenuating circumstances around the other parent that make them unable to care for your child. Your only option is to either raise them alone, or give them to the state to be raised/adopted. Do you want a child so bad that you would commit to single parenthood?

I already have 2 and foster another, but if I were able to give birth to my own I'd choose to be a single parent over not having one. It would obviously be the same if I lost my partners. I'd still care for my children as a solo parent.

Yes I would definitely be a single parent if that was my only option. I really want a child and would do that now if it was an option.

I have no one to have a baby with anymore. I also can't afford IUI.

I'm a man, so the answer is yes. I would love to raise a child by myself as long as it was biologically mine since that's kind of the point here.

Yes, kids don't necessarily need a father figure. It can be an older brother, cousin, uncle if you need a male role model.

If that would mean not having a girlfriend/wife just to avoid paying double the price for her just to hear her say she's a "strong and independent woman", then yes. I'd rather be a single dad who adopts children and focus on them.
