Would you still be friends with somebody who does not pay attention to you?

I worked with somebody over 20 years ago and we were very good friends We use to have lunch together a lot and even after I found a new job we stayed in touch. We used to have lunch 2 or 3 times a year and used to email each other. Over the last 2 or 3 years I would send her emails and if she responded at all it would just be a sentence or two.

The last time I heard from her was April 2023 and she just sort of blew me off.

I was thinking about her the last few weeks and wonder if I should send her a email wishing her a nice holiday?

This person actually surfaced last week. She doesn't work at the hospital anymore so that is why she never got my emails. Now we are playing phone tag.

my good friend from college became my hubby friends or became our couple friend.
if I was in your shoes… I would be asking this question to my hubby…

we do have opposite friends from gag and real life and we meet and talk to each other over the phone as a couple…

I think it's fine to wish her a nice holiday season, it's a legitimate reason for reaching out. I just wouldn't go out of my way to continue communicating though, especially if she doesn't respond.

Is she single? Does your wife know that you occasionally communicate with this woman? Not accusing you of doing anything improper but do you want to be in the position of needing to explain this?

she knows her. We all worked at the same place for a while.
