Feeling Isolated as a Tall Woman in a Cruel World I Wish Tall Women Were Treated As Human And No Not Everyone Tall Is A Model Can People Be Kind?

Hi everyone, I’m a 26-year-old woman, and I’m 5’10. My height has always made me stand out, but not in a good way. At two workplaces, I was mocked relentlessly for being tall. People spread cruel rumors that I’m transgender—just because of my height—even though I’m biologically female. The humiliation has been unbearable. One of the most painful experiences is going to public restrooms. Women gasp and stare at me, thinking a man just walked in. At first, I didn’t understand why, but then I realized they thought I was the intruder. Now, I avoid looking around and try to ignore the stares, but deep down, it destroys me. When I go out, I try to bring my child (who I gave birth to) and my partner, hoping their presence will shield me from judgment. But it doesn’t help. People still stare. Men whisper, “I thought that was a guy,” when they hear my child call me “Mommy.” Women gossip behind my back. The scrutiny is so overwhelming that I’ve given up going out altogether. I order online or send my partner to run errands for me. Speaking of my partner, he treats me like dirt. He cheated on me with a shorter woman, shattering what little confidence I had left. But I feel trapped. Before I met him, dating was a nightmare. Most men don’t want a tall woman, and tall men seem to prefer shorter women. Short men act like my existence insults them. A short coworker would purposely bump into me daily, as if I were challenging his masculinity just by existing. I have thousands of followers on social media who compliment my looks, and I know I’m not ugly. But in real life, none of that matters. My height erases everything else. People treat me like a monstrous hulk, less feminine just because I’m tall. I feel so utterly lonely. At this point, the only comfort I have is knowing that God loves me. I hold onto the belief that He sees my worth, even when no one else does. That thought keeps me going, but it doesn’t stop the ache of isolation.
