Why on earth would my cousin tell my grandmother her house isn't a cemetery for antiques ?

My cousin she is age 29 recently just bought her first home mind you my grandmother offer my cousin beautiful decor and furniture that were down from generation back. My grandmother and I went to my cousin house and help out arranging everything now my grandmother told my cousin there is no need to waste money that she has a dinning table and couch and a few expensive Victorian antique my cousin got really aggravated yelling at my grandmother this were my cousin words:MY HOUSE ISN'T A CEMETERY FOR YOUR TRASH! . In my opinion that was very disrespectful grandma was only try to help yet my cousin tells me she wants new furniture you can't be serious this woman is setting her self up to get into debt. Crazy I can't believe it. Why would my cousin do that?

Because she's ill-mannered, rude, or mean (or possibly all three).

If you're asking if she might have had a good reason, of if there's an excuse for that sort of behavior, then no, there isn't.

One preferably kindly accepts the offer, or if one can't/doesn't want to, declines in a nice way while expressing gratitude for the kind offer.

Yes especially millennials my generation and Gen Z people. I hear teacher were quitting do to the disrespectful children. At my son's school I was told that no more snack time because a child parent complained that her child didn't like the snack. Wow I remember at the time when I was a child I was told that I was to be seen and not hear if my teacher called my parents about me receive a bad grade oh I was in for big serious trouble lol

New furniture is built like crap, always is better to buy old and refinish if required, thart would be half the cost of buying something new made half decently today.
