I'm guessing they had a bitter breakup or he isn't exactly the kind of grandpa you would like to and didn't care about the family. Who knows. I know it sucks to want to know about someone who isn't in your life but you don't get answers.

My maternal grandmother never talked about my grandfather. She just is a stubborn woman who is holding onto anger and resentment. While my mum and dad told me everything I wanted to know about maternal grandfather as my dad's dad died when I was a baby and mum's dad died before I was even born so I don't know what it's like to have grandfather's love and was curious about them.
