Is making friendships better than dating?

I never go into any flirting situation when I'm out for a night with any expectation other than having a good time and maybe meeting a new woman who might just be interesting to hang out with. Interesting and playful comes first. If romance develops, great. If not, great. If they are a complete dud, the hanging out nor the romance is happening.

It's certainly less disappointing, haha.

Friends are easier to make in general, but dating and relationships require something way deeper. And if you go out of your way just to make friends you could get some decent results, while going out of your way to find a partner will almost always fail.

I know because when I was on a dating site/app it was just disappointment after disappointment. I'd hit it off with a woman and think we were connecting really well and all, and then they'd suddenly cut me off. That's not even mentioning the scammers or the women who never replied in the first place. Complete and total waste of time and I deeply regret even trying.

All of this being just my experience, not universal, but yeah.

It depends on which stage of life you are in. By that, I don't mean age- though it can certainly play a factor. You could be in your teens or elderly but if you have been hurt emotionally (like cheated on, divorced, had a streak of bad relationships) or have experienced loss, among other things, having friends who can act as a support system is another way to experience love in a different way. Part of dating is a quid pro quo relationship based on personal and sexual intimacy. When you remove the sexual intimacy from a relationship, it just leaves you with social and emotional friendship most of the time. When we take that in, it's gratifying to know we can experience a type of love (friendship) without having to give a part of us physically.

It can't be (and doesn't have to be) a one or the other. Both are important, and both fit into a life just fine. There's no need to choose. I wouldn't be happy with friendships without a significant other; and I wouldn't be happy with a significant other, but no friendships. This one, for me has to be both

I do think there are women you f*** and women you're friends with. Because once you start f***ing a woman she loses her mind. You cannot talk to her rationally anymore.

So to an extent. Yes, it's probably better to just be friends with a woman.😆 save the f***ing for some woman you don't want much to do with.😆

Friendship with a woman is how I "date".
Hanging out for 3 years is more effective than going out to dinner a few times when it comes to getting to know a person well.

Definitely, friendships are the best and you can have as much fun as you want with any friend without involving love / romance things.

All my life I only make friends and I'm against relationships as an asexual person.

It depends on the person in question. Some people would be AMAZING friends but terrible partners. Others are great partners but as friends you’d probably end up with emotional entanglements, which makes friendship impossible.

There isn't a better since they both server different purposes and it depends on where you are at in life, however if you aren't in the later stages of life, friendship is better, but overall there isn't necessarily a better.
