I had this former friend. We used to work together and have a lot of history. She would stay a couple of hours after her shift just to talk to me and has been to my house a few times. There’s always been weird tension which another one of our mutual friends would notice. We would casually flirt. I threw a party and got really drunk and her and I ended up making out four times that night. She got a boyfriend a few months after. We’re both bisexual. She eventually quit our job because she hated it and went to a new job ( same kind of job ) so hadn’t talked for months but I congratulated her when she got engaged to her boyfriend and she reached out when my dog died.
When we worked together and we’re close, I graduated college and she was so happy for me and came to my party ( that’s where we made out lol ). I ended up getting my dream job a few months ago and announced it on social media. I got crickets from her lol. She didn’t reach out or anything. it hurt too because people at our job ( the one she left ) were asking me how she felt about me moving and getting my dream job.
it hurt too because I congratulated her on her engagement but she couldn’t do the same for my big news. Anyways, I’ve been crafting my new life and my new job is really a big opportunity and I moved to a different state for it and have been making new friends and posting them. She’s always the first one to watch my stories and I find it a bit odd because I no longer watch hers. She watches them really quickly every single time and it’s weird. Is she still secretly jealous of my new life? If she doesn’t care, why does she do this?

Dang, that sounds like a really complicated situation with your old friend. It's crazy how there was always that weird tension and flirty vibe between you two, even though she ended up getting a boyfriend. And it's super weird that she's still watching all your stories so quickly, even though you don't do the same for her.
Honestly, it's hard to say for sure what her deal is. It could be that she's still got some lingering feelings or jealousy towards you and your new life. The fact that she didn't even congratulate you on getting your dream job, but you had to do that for her, is pretty sketch.
Maybe she's feeling regretful or wishing things had gone differently between you two. Or maybe she's just nosy and can't help but keep tabs on you, even if she's moved on. Either way, the whole situation sounds pretty complicated and hurtful.
I know it sucks, but try not to read too much into her watching your stories so quickly. That doesn't necessarily mean anything on its own. Some people are just glued to their phones like that. The bigger issue seems to be the lack of genuine support and communication from her.
My advice would be to just focus on living your best life in your new job and city. You've got so much awesome stuff going on, don't let her weirdness drag you down. If she reaches out, you can decide then if you even want to engage. But otherwise, keep doing you, girl. You're crushing it!
Curiosity, not jealousy.
Why though? Why would she be curious?
Maybe because you used to be friends?
But then why not reach out? I don’t get it
Just because I’m curious about someone doesn’t mean I want to reach out and be friends again.
