An old crush came back into my life?

Well years ago I had a crush on this girl who ended up becoming my best friend. We spent almost every day together and had the same interests and genuinely made each other happy. The only problem was she had a boyfriend at the time, he cheated on her and treated her badly and I respected their relationship crappy as it was and never crossed the line with her although there were so many times I wanted to, this is all cliche I'm sure.

Eventually there were problems and her Boyfriend demanded she stop talking to me and when she told me this I got pissed and thought fine, a few days later she apologized to me but I only ever said maybe this was for the best and I cut contact with her completely.

Fast forward years now, she broke up with that guy and looked me up. Of course it was great to hear from her but now she's in another long term relationship. Part of me is happy to perhaps regain our friendship but the fact she is with someone now makes me think that this may again be a problem. I still have other feelings for her as well so I'm just not sure what I should do. Anyone have any advice or been in a situation like this before?

Dude. If she's contacting you now while at the same time being in a relationship, and you really like this girl, then you need to check a couple of things.

1.) is she really happy with this guy

2.) is she opening up to you

3.) does the guy mind she has a guy friend

etc

If you think you are the better man, and most of us do, then you will do what it takes to win her heart. Remember, she's not married, So, essentially she is somewhat available.

You will need to do an assessment, but carefully so she thinks you are concerned for her well-being. Plan your attack from this information.

Well the big question is...is life better with or with out her?...If its with her then just go with it my friend life has a funny way of working out for the best.Just enjoy your time with her have fun and live your life.If not cut ties and move on . I've been there...it didn't work out right when I wanted it to fast forward a few years and well lets just say it did.

well honestly I'd love it if it were something more. It is a shame she wasn't able to get in contact with me before she began seeing this new person, although she says she really tried. As for how things are.. well I honestly do miss her friendship as well but this time I think I will make sure to not get too close if she is still with someone else. Nor do I particularly care to be the guy who causes trouble in a relationship either :(
