Some people are actually just platonic friends. I imagine that for you it is unconceivable that something like that even exists. Where is the world going if people are platonic and are not into fornicating. According to you, this seems to be unheard of but it actually happens.

For me personally I think it’s a boundaries issue just knowing that it could lead to sex especially if you just met the person or if you want to be with someone serious and wait to get to know them very well before having sex, I’m not the kind of person to give it up that easily so yeah, I would prefer waiting a while before

Nothing intrinsically wrong in laying next to each other nor having sex unless they have partners who may consider it very badly wrong.

There are connotations with laying with opposite gender and I would certainly feel those connotations.

I have female friends who have slept in my bed. No big deal, so sex or weirdness. But many are not mentally built to handle it.
