Why would a mom be so controlling about her daughter’s sex life—even at age 19, still trying to keep her a virgin—when neither of them is Muslim? The mom has a body count over five and has admitted to doing some things in her own past. Throughout the daughter’s life, the mom has been controlling. If the daughter gets close to a family member or a guy she likes, the mom will try to destroy the relationship or speak badly about her to other family members or to the guy. The mom will also snoop through her daughter’s phone for no reason, just to start arguments. The mom will make comments about guys staring at her daughter and will accuse her daughter of fooling around with guys, even when she isn’t. The daughter move away from the mom because the mom pulled her hair accused her of being pregnant she’s not pregnant. Now she’s going around spreading lies. Now it’s getting worse. Can legal action be taken? Can someone please give me advice?

Where do you live? What's the legal age of adulthood there? In the US it's 18. Mom would have no legal right to interfere at that point. But she may have control over you because of financial support and providing you a place to live.

Sounds like mom may have regrets about her own life choices and doesn't want to see you make the same mistakes. You're her second chance. Her chance to get it right. She's accusing you of every lack of judgement she exhibited as a kid.

Or she could be jealous that her younger daughter is getting all the attention and she is getting older.

Or she could just be batshit crazy and controlling for who knows what reasons.
