Do you do any kind of volunteering or mutual aid in your community?

Yeah, I volunteered at the Humane Society. It was really depressing. I washed laundry, dishes, dog walking, and fostered.
It’s basically a pet prison that’s sugar coated. Just a bunch of caged pets either waiting to be adopted or be sedated due to overpopulation and deemed “unsuitable for adoption”. It really messed with me mentally. I love dogs. Not killing them.
Common misconception: No kill shelters still kill animals.
Don’t believe me? Look up your local animal shelter in the state webpage. They have to report the amount of animals they sedate to the state by law. It’s public access.
My husband and his family run a charity for adults with learning disabilities due to a relative having down syndrome.
I help when I can and help at at coffee mornings doing bake sales
I'm a tutor, I'm a "visit friend" at one of the elderly homes near me and I'm a "vågekone" - stay with people who are dying so they don't die alone.

Yeah I'm a big brother and take fatherless boys out to have fun playing ball or other sports, take them to hockey games, out for burgers or pizza, keep them interested and out of trouble etc..

Nah. But if I see rubbish on the ground and a bin nearby, sometimes I'll pick it up and bin it.
When homeless people ask me for food or something to drink, I buy them something. I deal with a lot of homeless people at work.
