Do you have your own place?

There has been a lot of discussion about autonomy and independence; particularly involving younger generations. “Failure to launch”, “boomerang kids”, and a number of clinical names and descriptions for people who just don’t seem to get their poop in a group. Those are just the ones who have family to fall back on.
Some have the pleasure of trying to collect a group of people to help split the costs and responsibilities of a home when more affordable options elude them.
In the end, fewer people have their very own place, whether they’re renting or buying. Either they’re struggling financially or they simply prefer more of a family or community atmosphere in their home. Maybe they are trading labor for room and board, or they’re averse to putting down roots.
Where do you fit in? Do you have your own place, or are you sharing space? If you’re sharing, what is the arrangement?

No I live with my mom, I have no job and even when I did I had no plan to move, I would only move once I get in. serious relationship.

You have no compulsion toward independence? Is that personal, familial, societal or all of the above?

I feel no need to be independent at all, I never did and I still don't plus I don't want to live alone it sound depressing the fews days I had to pass all alone or even just the night alone were super depressing and boring I couldn't handle it in the long run that's why I said I would only move if I have a serious boyfriend cause I don't want to be alone.

Yes and live alone and it’s not my first home either but the first time I moved out was when I got married , now I’m on my third home and smallest but I’m actually all alone

So you moved out of your parents’ home and moved in with your new wife? What age were you when you first lived alone?

Never lived alone until after getting divorced

So I was in my 40s , was less stressful since I wasn’t doing everything for so many people anymore since I had so many kids living with me when married

Yup. By myself. In my own home. Fully paid for. Thinking about getting a second home as an an occasional escape.

Just because one lives alone doesn’t mean that one wants to be at the same location day in and day out. I used to have a weekend house in Havasu for that reason. Get away from the city. Just an example of why….
