Why would my aunt tell her grandchildren that I’m autistic?

So I went to my aunts house for the weekend and we were hanging out right. I noticed my three younger cousins starting at me. One of them is like, “Why do you always make that face? You don’t like me.”

I looked confused and said, “I never said that.” Then she told me I can tell by the look on my face that she doesn’t like her grandmother.

So not true but she’s only eight. The oldest child is a teenager asked me, “So you’re autistic? Or something like that. My grandmother told us you’re special so wonder the adults you differently from the other adults.” I was like, “Y…yeah how did you know I’m autistic?” She said, “I just told you. My grandmother told us.”

she's 13 or 14 I think.

Her brother said, “So how does your brain work? Are you retarded or something? Do you know how to do things like normal people. He’s 10.

I was offended by that comment but I said, “Hey we’re not stupid. We can do many things.” He said relax and he wasn’t calling me retarded. I can’t believe my aunt will tell them I’m autistic. They don’t understand. I’m 28.

Why would my aunt tell her grandchildren that I’m autistic?
