Can you stay as roommates with the opposite sex for a long time?

If it’s a mixed group of several people, you can stay together, but have you ever stayed or is it possible in a situation where it’s just one woman and one man?

I presume you could but I certainly would never try that kind of exercise. That is way too dangerous for a single girl to have a male roommate.

If you have each a separate room that you can lock individually from the inside with a security key and where the other roommate does not have a copy of the security key, then you may reconsider. However, if there is only bathroom with a standard lock, then obviously not. The risk of potential rape is much too high for the woman.

Also, the standard problems such as toilet lid, urinating besides the toilet bowl, general mess both in the bathroom and kitchen would certainly not make it a nice experience for a female in general.

I am not attracted to the looks, money or any other external appearance of any person. I am solely interested in the intellect, character and personality.

In this case of a handsome, muscular, and wealthy guy, that would give one more reason not to have him as a roommate because he would think that he can get the girls he wants.
