Because they don't want the first thing they hear when they meet someone is, "I'm autistic! You don't accept me! I'm not good enough for anyone!" like every single autistic person on here does every day.

If you just said hi my name is so-and-so, people might talk to you. Otherwise, not interested.

It would be the same if someone were to say, "I hate women!" or "I only want sex!" or "my parents died when I was 10!" or "I can't afford a car!"

People don't want to hear your problems the first time they meet you.
