The only way to really know is to ask that person directly and observe the body language of that person and how he/she react when you talk to him/her.

Does he/her turn around and show you more the side of his/her body? In that case, that is a body language that says "stay away from me". If, on the other hand, the person is facing you straight on and does not move away, then you can assume that he/she likes to chat with you.

Also observe the facial expressions and the micro facial expressions when talking with you. Those are all signs whether that person likes you or not that much.
