Moving out of your parents' house and living on your own is a big step in a person's life.

I was 16 1/2 it was crazy thing, but my mom had get\nA guy and they were happy
My stepdad used to beat me from 5. to ten years old i don't know if I deserved it or if he just had his p***** off moments
But when I was ten years old , my stepdad told me when they got a divorce , I was the man of the house , and I had to take care of my mom's sister and brother , which was b*******
To tell a 10-year-old, but anyway, she was happy with this new guy and I don't know what was going on. But I think he was trying to tell me that he's in charge of the family, and I would do what he says, and then he kind of pushed me up against the wall. And I spun, and I pushed him up against the wall, I was holding him there, and it, in a split second I saw his eyes get really big and I knew something was behind me. I let go I turned around and it was my mom , I turned back towards him and I said you never touch me again
As I was walking by my mom, I could see a tear in her eye and I said, I told you, I would never let anybody hurt me again. So 2 weeks later, my friends, they were twin brothers. Their mom was moving to California to open up A\n New company. Rick and ray, my friends, she said, they could stay in town and finish up school, and then they would just go to California. So I got to move in with them. I already had a nighttime job washing dishes at a casino LOL I wanted a car
But yeah, 2 days after I moved into their house, I realized I knew nothing about life or the world. And I needed to start things fast.
Bought my first house when I was 21. I rented out the upstairs and that covered my mortgage.
Sort of when I went to college... I still considered my parents place to be home.
For real, when I graduated, had a job and got my first apartment... Age 22
17 years old and I got a job and my first apartment and lived alone and paid for all of my expenses by myself.

It was not a clean break. I went to college in another state. I left home almost immediately after graduating high school at 17. I hitch hiked around the country for a couple of months, ending with my arrival at college.
I was still mostly being supported by my parents then. I gradually became financially independent over the next 2-4 years.
I moved back in with my parents for two years around 25 years old, but was fully supporting myself.
Then it was back on the road for the next 2-3 years, not really living in any one place. I was living wherever I happened to be at the time. Sometimes I had to pause to remember which state I was in.
I didn't start to settle in one place until I was about 32-33. Even then, I did a lot of out-of-state work, so I was still pretty nomadic until I retired.
I was 28. LOL
I had it really good at my parent's house. I could even smoke weed in my room because my mom was cool and my dad couldn't smell and minded his own business. I could bring girlfriends into my room, too.
I was a rock guitarist and vocalist in garage bands and went to a lot of concerts. I had long, rock star hair and was into partying with my friends. I always had a girlfriend and was really active, surfing, going places in my car with friends, backpacking, snow skiing and having fun.
I always had jobs but in 1980, when I was 26, I landed a really good job with a great salary and benefits. When I got that job, I had to get a regular haircut, wear a suit, and grow up.
I moved into an apartment in a nearby triplex. A couple years later, I bought a condo.
16 and maybe actually earlier. My Mom was a real piece of shit. I mean my sister was even younger. I only lived with her for 3 years because that's how great she was.
I wished I had parents that gave a shit... just didn't work out for me.
I moved to a different college which was away from home, at the age of 20. I finished grad school when I was 23 and moved back for awhile. Then I got my own place at 24.
I was 12. I lived with a cousin until I was 16 and then moved into an apartment with my boyfriend.
I was 22 years old... after quitting college too, lol
when it was time to actually do something for myself
I was 18 when I went away to college. I came back 3 semesters later and moved back out when I was 21 and 18 months later moved back because I wanted to save up to buy a house.
I moved out when I was 16 and moved to Atlanta.
16 and then was kicked out at 17. Mom had a shitty boyfriend. I came back at 17 and the asshole put all of my stuff on the doorstep a couple months later. Nice intro to adulthood!
I was 19 going to university about 5 miles away but still rented a place of my own.
62. I was forced to leave by my ex-sisters against mom's wishes.
I technically still live in it, having inherited the house when my dad passed in 2014
In my early twenties after I built my first house.
I was 20 when I left for Basic Military Training
19 - while I still knew everything
Kicked out at 15.
I think I was about 18
