Why is it so bad as an 18 yr old to be childfree?

I’ve never in my life heard of an 18 year old having to feel bad for not having children. At that age the concern is usually going to school or getting a job, you’re fresh out of being a teen. I guess unless there were religion involved but still, that’s news to me. I also agree with the general idea that it’s the end of the world if you don’t have kids. That was never a fixation or focal point for me, still isn’t, even in my 30s.

I should instead say “of legal age”, since 18 is technically still a teen.

Choosing not to have children (now or ever) challenges many assumptions society holds, and that’s why people react strongly. However, having children at 18 would be insane anyway.

Im ok if people have kids but I do not want to pay for them as in state or federal plans. . If you cannot afford kids then use protection.
