When I was a kid I was a depressed, weird loner.
My parents were loving but worked so hard, there wasn't anyone left to actually raise me.
So it took years to realize what my problem even was. I was afraid if I bottled things up, then I'd never get better but everytime I tried to let just a little out people chastised me. Called me terrible things and pushed me away even more.
Made me hate everyone for a while until I realized everyone was kinda in the same boat as me. And I started loving people because I could see myself in them. Even when they were being mean.
So all those years of wishing people could just do "xyz instead" I was able to turn around on myself as a teenager.
It's still kinda a shabby fix. But I think it works. š
